Wish I'd known

I ordered this crib to use for my grandson. The first one arrived damaged (in transit). Amazon quickly sent me a replacement, which arrived in great shape. It took my husband and me about one hour to assemble. It is a nice looking crib. As others have said, it is unfortunate that the hardware is visible. The one thing that bothers me, is the distance from the top of the mattress to the top of the front rail when the mattress is at the lowest position. That distance is only 19 inches. My grandson is one year old. The crib he has at home, sets at least 4 inches lower. I'm concerned about him being able to easily crawl over the rail.

Just bought this crib from Amazon.
Was delivered super fast (may be because we are in California).
Good:
1.) Very Good Finished components and looks really beautiful once assembled.
2.) Sturdy

Not so Good:
1.) Assembling this crib is not easy and requires a considerable effort from two people.

This is for our first, he hasn't arrived yet so can't comment on durability yet.
It arrived on time. It arrived in awesome condition. Some other reviews stated it arrived (slightly) damaged or the packaging was not the best. It was packaged perfectly, not a scratch on it for me. Instructions were a breeze, got it put together in about an hour tops. The instructions could of been more thorough but it's not rocket science and we managed fine with common sense. We ordered the "coffee" finish, I wanted espresso but it wasn't available. This is an awesome second to espresso, the finish isn't too dark or too light and I'm very pleased with it. It's nice and sturdy, very big and spacious. Adjusting the height of the mattress is simple enough. I'm 5'4" and I don't see reaching the mattress at any height being a problem.

For the picky moms who consider the bedding when picking a crib: the lowest railing in the front of the crib won't completely block any cute crib skirts you choose. I've seen some cribs that the rail completely or awkwardly covers animal designs or lettering on the crib skirts.
