We have been using the Cariboo folding bassinet for 3 months now. We have the mahogany version, and love it. We were originally torn between this product and a co-sleeper. While the one big pro of the co-sleeper remains -- the ability not to have to reach into something to get your baby-- the pros of this bassinet make us happy we went with the Cariboo. First, it's lovely to look at. Our room has never looked like a baby invaded it. It still looks as elegant as it did before. We use the veil, which looks gorgeous on it, and I think helps baby sleep by blocking out stimulation. Second, I think the all white surrounding is peaceful for the baby, and helped her get used to sleeping by herself (albeit with us nearby), rather than feeling like she is in bed with us. Third, I love love love that it folds up. It's perfect for moving around the house easily, and for storage later. We're starting to transition baby to her crib, and I love that we won't have some huge piece to stick in our basement! Baby seems very comfortable in it and sleeps well. It's also a great place for her to rest/play in the morning while I pick up our room, take a shower, etc. The only things I would change: It could use a storage pocket or shelf of some kind, and a place to hook toys.
