Looks great, and that's about it...

I have had several play yards. I got this one because I liked the idea of all the attachments. We've had it for over a year now, and it's already showing wear. It's not had that much mileage as we only use it when we travel. My 18 month old can collapse the side rails while he's in it. NOT ok! Also, the extra attachments are hard to get into the travel bag. It's terribly complicated to put together. The rocking bassinet was nice, but over all this piece is horrible. I only gave it 2 stars because it worked for us for a few months and the fabric is nice. I've learned with most Eddie Baur products--they are great on looks, but severely lacking in functionality and durability.

Don't be Fooled by the Eddie Bauer Name...the Quality of this Play Yard is Low

We were given this play yard after the birth of our first daughter. We have had several people comment on the fact that we have an Eddie Bauer play yard. Please note that the quality of this play yard is drastically lower than Graco play yards. The Eddie Bauer name doesn't mean much.

The changing table on this play yard bends terribly! It is not very sturdy. Placing my 9 pound 2 month old in the changing table & it bends 45 degrees towards the inside of the play yard! We are now using this on baby #2 & there is a tear on the seams of the changing table. I am not surprised! It bends so terribly when using that it puts a lot of stress on the seams. The storage on the changing table is nice. We use it to hold diapers, dirty diapers, & we use the small tray to hold our daughter's comb & other small items. We kept knocking the wipes off the changer so we have them on a table nearby.

We have absolutely no idea how to put batteries in the sound & vibration device. You literally take a panel out of a 2 inch opening, get batteries in, & somehow put a screwdriver into the 2 inch hole to close. We got the cover off, had no idea how to get it back on, & put it away. It has never been used.

The mobile on this play yard is nothing to write home about. It is not batter powered, which is nice. You buy batteries by the boatload for baby items. But the little bears turn so slowly that we never really use it.

This play yard is a bit difficult to put together but it's even harder to get it back in the bag. We have never successfully gotten this play yard back in the bag. We keep the metal poles, mobile, & changing table in the bag. The play yard itself then sits separately in the closet. You need to have a master's degree in Tetris to get this repackaged.

All in all, this play yard works. It is basically functional. But the quality is not great & the durability is questionable. Graco play yards are of far higher quality & durability. My parent's are using a Graco play yard from the 90s & it has held up better than our 3 year old Eddie Bauer play yard.
