This is a nice piece of affordable furniture. Be advised that the color is much darker than the chocolate color in the photo. It's almost black.
It also scratches easily, so expect to use the furniture pen. And if you scratch down to the particle board, the pen ink eventually turns bluish.
Other than that, it's really nice.

I've assembled a lot of this type of furniture in the past - desks, dressers, tables, bookshelves, a crib, etc. and you know that when your furniture comes out of a box you're not getting something marketed by Ashley or milled from the bark of rare Tibetan Cypress. It's pressed board held together with a lot of cardboard, glue, plastic wrap and an endless supply of little fliers from partially crushed styfrofoam. So you can imagine my hopes were not unrealistic with this item.
Nonetheless, this table pretty thoroughly disappoints. It looks decent when assembled but is not the most stable and doesn't have very child-friendly corners or other finishes. But the real problems lie in getting there.
When step 2 asks you to drill (though technically the instructions say not to use a drill, this product is impossible to complete without one - more on that in a moment) into two boards where no holes have been pre-drilled or started for you, you know you've stepped in it with this purchase. Thankfully ours arrived with all needed parts and all of them intact, but the instructions of course cater to the illiterate. Planting a few choice words in the English language would improve clarity of assembly a great deal (the famous step 2 also includes an apparently levitating piece with a hammer - not clear at first what that's about).
After spending about 6 hours working on this, the joy of home furniture assembly has long since passed (wink). That's when you get to the drawers and wonder if it's too late to change your mind. I put this off for 24 hours to try to reset my low expectations. When I started on them it was clear this part of engineering suffered. There are screw holes that (along with the drawer hardware) partially overlap with other screw holes. Then there is the part where you tap in thick, solid plastic pegs of unknown usefulness and are expected to screw into the side of them using mere hand tools. This is just not going to happen so I believed this to be an error in the instructions. It prompted our first call ever to the customer service line to get further explanation.
We got a call back the next day and were informed that this was a feature designed to improve stability. Maybe somebody with more carpentry or masonry experience would approach this with great delight, but all I could do was curse the lords of particle board furniture and set my drill on stun. I managed to get the screws to penetrate the peg but none of them did so straight, as expected, resulting in a couple that left small bulges. Relieved at least to have the drawers finished, we slid them into the dresser. Or I should say, pushed. The drawers are an extremely tight fit, even after hammering the levitating parts from step 2 again just to be sure. They do go in and they have a little plastic mechanism on the sides to prevent them from sliding out all the way and onto a small child - a fair idea. But in practice, we're going to have to brace ourselves and the table a bit to open and close these drawers at all.
In summary, have you considered purchasing another product instead? Please do. South Shore has made many other products that I would consider quality, but this one truly missed the bus. It is difficult and time-consuming to assemble and the end result doesn't give you any sense of pleasure, except to know that the next time you have to handle this you'll be breaking it apart to haul away.

This changing table, although made in Canada is made of cheap materials. I've assembled many Ikea furniture items made in China and they were a lot better quality. By the time I was done with my assembly, the corners had broke and chipped, also the piece on overall does not feel sturdy, uses weird construction design and I even had to make a run to HomeDepot for special drill bit that I didn't have.
