I bought this dresser a few weeks ago and it was pretty intimidating.... I work for a high end furniture store as an Interior Designer so I was already pretty skeptical. Opened the box and was immediately relieved to see its actually wood, phew, it's not PLAM (plastic laminated practical board) started to pull out the pieces to assemble, and it was pretty easy. The construction is pretty good quality, doweled and bolted. I used my ratchet set to tighten it up. It's not dovetailed on the drawer fronts or anything, but still very solid. Would have liked wood on wood center glides, but the side glides are better then no glides at all. Still need to get some little felt or rubber pads so the drawer close loudly. Dust guards could be added pretty easy too if I wanted. Overall I just love it! I also got the chest and crib from the same set and I'm equally pleased!

I live in a small landlocked Alaska town, which means I can't just drive to a Walmart or furniture store! So most of my shopping is through Amazon. I've been searching and searching for a dresser for my girls' room. I wanted something fairly sturdy, looked nice and would last a while but I also didn't want to spend a fortune. A solid wood dresser can run about $400 and we just didn't have that option right now. I was nervous because I knew if any parts were missing or damaged it would be really difficult for me to return due to where I live and our shipping availabilities. I ordered the dresser on Thursday- it was a Prime item but they did make me pay $6.99 for shipping (which I'm not complaining) and I got the dresser Monday. Awesome delivery time. All the items were packed with care, no items were missing or damaged. My husband and I put the dresser together tonight and it looks amazing. Most of the pieces are solid wood, it's super sturdy, no camlocks are used, it came with all the screws and tools needed including a screw driver. I'm actually really shocked that I found this quality of a dresser for under $200. I plan on using the top as a changing table for the new baby and it is the perfect height. The picture does not do the color or finish of the wood justice. I am so thankful I found this buy and I normally don't write reviews but I thought this time with the struggle I had finding something and having only to go on a few reviews that it would be helpful!

Once you get it put together (and there are LOTS of pieces) it is very sturdy. It will take years of childhood abuse, and it is a very good looking piece.
