Don't buy anything from this company - 75% of products reviewed are damaged in shipping!

Quality and build of this chest is decent, but the price is pretty high.

The main problem is that this company couldn't package this chest to save their lives! They throw it in a box with some cheap cardboard corner protectors and a single layer of thin plastic wrap. The feet are thrown in a box with no protection so the threaded bolt in them scratches up the other feet.

The first chest I received was cracked across the top and returned. The second one had separated between the front rail and side at the top. I ultimately kept it and repaired it myself, since I was sick of messing around with trying to get one that wasn't damaged which took weeks!

Worst of all is the customer service at the company that makes this product, College Woodwork. Marilyn Lisk in Customer Service/Marketing responded to my email and sorry and work with amazon to get one that isn't damaged. Based on her response I don't think they care about these problems and I got the impression she just wanted me to stop bothering her!

Searching by "college woodwork" there are 10 items with reviews, 6 of them report damage in shipping, and 2 of the reviews are for cribs (which I'm thinking are shipped unassembled). That would mean 75% of the reviews report damage in transit to your products that are shipped assembled.

Don't waste your time. Go to a local furniture store where you can get better quality for less money!
